I found the date of the next election from an internal search which took me to an election results page, almost as a footnote. I wouldn't expect to find the date of the next election on the page about past elections. Couldn't find any information by navigating.

Only May 2014 mentioned, there is no mention of next election date, not even a probable year for next election. "V"? LOL

The information does not appear to be on the website - there is a link saying "find out when the next elections are" but it doesn't tell you when you get to the page. Some information is out of date ("the next County elections are in 2013").The elections results link doesn't take you to the 2014 election results - they are on a separate page. Google didn't help until, on a whim, I put in elections 2015 and found the following link, which, if you scroll right down, shows that there will be an election in Carlisle in 2015: http://www.gwydir.demon.co.uk/uklocalgov/elec2015.htm

All of these search methods were easy. They were straight forward and basic as there wasn't alot of scrolling or clicking involved. I had no problems with it.

only issue is the site should account for search term spelling errors and suggest what they might have meant

it's very easy to find links to last election results and information about elections, but nowhere could I find the next election date.

Monmouthshire County Council - 2014-03-24
I could not find information about the next Council Election but there were two notices about two single seat elections. I assume the date of the next Council elections has not yet been formally announced. I rated Readability "difficult" because I had to open the notice to find the date information. This was slow on my laptop. It would have been easier if the date had actually been on the web page

Surrey County Council - 2014-02-10
No information on the site about when the next council elections are. Landing page strapline says find out about upcoming elections, but no information is given on the content page.

Elections main page details the work of the electoral and registration services - you have to click on a link labelled 'current elections' to find the dates of the next elections. For the Google search at least the text preview on the results page was more explicit.
