About the scores
Each task can be tested according to five different criteria - navigation from the home page, navigation using the A-Z directory (where present), searching on Google, searching using the site's internal search, and the readability of the page. Scores are assigned according to 10 = Very easy, 8 = Easy, 4 = Difficult, and 1 = Gave up. As more users complete any given test, the score for each aspect of each task becomes a mean average of all the individual testers scores, and thus the more tests are completed the more reliable an indication of the usability of the website can be seen. The total scores in the table are thus the sum of the averaged scores for the whole suite of tasks which have been tested.
The Usability Index is the sum of the scores of all the tests which have been carried out, divided by the number of tests which have been taken for this council, resulting in an index score between 1 and 10, with 6 being the score which a nominallly usable website with room for improvement might be expected to achieve. If any criteria have had fewer than 15 tests, or the site as a whole has had fewer than 50 individually tested items, the final Index scores are shown in a grey background to indicate insufficient testing for the result to be a reliable indicator.
The Importance column shows the mean average of how important all the testers considered the ability to complete this task to be, ranging from 0 = Unimportant to 5 = Very important.

From menue found a What's New section, and press releases, but not clear if this is council news.
Searching for 'news', found several search results, but some misleading. Page called "News" is Bradford District Partnership, not Bradford Council.

Got confused because the link I needed was called 'reserve/renew (your account)' which sounded like it was a link to renewing my account rather than a book.

Had to choose a library for opening hours, there wasn't a table showing all Bradford Council library opening times, which would be useful and what was requested with the search query.

Front page of 'find my nearest' has no info to say it is Bradford. Some elements of the 'find my nearest' page were slow to load

Nothing obvious came up within the search results, but as I didn't know what Open data was I wasn't sure what I was looking for. Again though, not very straight forward to find through the council website again. Disappointing.
Parking fine - pay one - 2014-03-25
I did not have a parking fine to pay so could not complete the task but finding the page and getting to the point of adding a reference was easy

From Home Page went to Environment & Planning from Services but then unable to find a link to click on fro committee minutes. Similar issue going from planning applications in top tasks. Also nothing under public information. Eventually found under Your Council but not obviosu from Home Page. Using A-Z ent to p for planning first( not there) but easy to find the page under C, however landing page for comittee minutes does not look user friendly
Internal search results 1st opttion that comes up is Public Speaking at area panels this does not make it clear that if you click on this link you will be given another link & then another to find the date maybe an option on the website for this month's meetings?

I searched 'toilets' first and that didn't work. When I typed 'public toilets' I found what I wanted.

Not the easiest to use and navigate around. The internal search bar comes up with lots of irrelevant pages too so wasn't sure which to click on.

Searched the council website with the same query as google but didn't get anything relevant at all.

Someone less familiar with the site may have found this process more difficult.
It was easy to find out about the committees themselves, but navigating to the reports was less logical.
The Council Minutes page is not intuitive.

All results eventually took me to the Youth Buzz site, which had all the relevant information. There was no link to this site from the home page.
